Fully integrated

We integrate welding, cutting and engraving lasers as well as industrial robots from all suppliers. We also integrate special handling into your existing fabrication systems, thus increasing their autonomy. The integration of image processing systems makes our systems flexible and intelligent.

2022

AGFAR relocates from Gurzelenstrasse 9 in Biel to larger premises at Industriestrasse 5 in Orpund on 01.03.2022.

2016

Duplication of our assembly halls surface, creation of “clean” assembly halls and expansion of the production capacity to reach the high needs of our customers.

2014

AGFAR celebrates its 30th anniversary. The number of employees has grown to 27.

2008

Long-service employees Hans-Ulrich Lanz, Tobias Schelbert and Peter Beutler take over the management of the company from Franz Misteli.

2004

Reconstruction and renovation of the assembly hall on the upper ground floor.

2001

Reconstruction and renovation of the first floor. A bright, modern, open-plan office is created.

1999

Reconstruction and renovation of the lower ground floor. Installation of a large 3-ton lifting platform.

1992

Relocation to the former company building at the Gurzelenstrasse in Biel.

F. Misteli and W. Paroz found AG für Automation und Robotik (abbreviation: AGFAR).

The city of Biel can be described as a centre of the watch-making industry (Watch Valley). For more than one hundred years, a tradition of fine and micro-mechanics has existed in Swiss Jura region.
