The history of Agfar and its milestones
Our company history is characterized by innovation, success and growth. Since our founding in 1984, we have continued to develop and are proud of our achievements.
2024
AGFAR was 40 years young. As an anniversary celebration, we went first to Schadau Castle and then to Gstaad.
2022
AGFAR is moving from Gurzelenstraße 9 in Biel to larger premises at Industriestrasse 5 in Orpund on 01.03.2022.
2016
Doubling the assembly area, creating “pure” assembly halls and expanding production capacity to meet the high requirements of our customers. Mr. Andreas Erb has also replaced the shareholders from Mr. Peter Beutler and is now part of the management board.
2014
AGFAR is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The number of employees has grown to 27.
2008
With Hans-Ulrich Lanz, Tobias Schelbert, Peter Beutler and Martin Rüeggsegger (external), long-standing employees take over the management of Franz Misteli.
1992
Moving to a separate company building at Gurzelenstraße 9 in Biel.
1984
Agfar was founded in the midst of the quartz watch crisis.
Franz Misteli and Willy Paroz found the joint stock company for automation and robotics (AGFAR for short).
