Discover our innovative special machines

Agfar offers high-quality special machines for microtechnology, the watch industry and for any production with sensitive processes. Our machines have been known and appreciated in various branches of industry for over 40 years.

The six steps — from initial conversation to delivery

Agfar designs and builds specialized machines, systems, and workstations manual and automated for a variety of industries. Our solutions are efficient, precise, and tailored to each customer's needs. People often ask about our expertise. The answer is simple: We specialize in projects where small, delicate parts need sorting, transporting, distributing, or processing beyond off-the-shelf solutions. Special machine construction andmicromechanics are our passion! We work with our customers to develop company-specific machines in six well-structured steps.

1.

From contact to concept development to offer

Based on your specifications, we begin with a kickoff meeting to define requirements, explore ideas, and discuss options. A site visit provides deeper insight into workflows and the work environment. The result of this concept phase is a detailed proposal, including precise costestimates and CAD design visuals with descriptions.

2.

Engineering - Design and Software Development

Our engineers work closely with you to refine concepts until the machine meets optimal performance standards. From the start, the software team is involved, ensuring seamless integration. Today, software is a key component, enabling customization and turning a machine into a true Industry 4.0 solution.

3.

Manufacturing - Real things are created

Agfar’s polymechanics and CNC specialists precisely mill, turn, drill, erode, and grind all necessary components for machine construction. Larger parts, such as base frames, plates, and protective housings, are sourced from trusted partners who manufacture them to our exact specifications.

4.

Assembly - put together what belongs together

Our assembly mechanics and automation engineers bring the machine together building the control cabinet and connecting all mechanical and electrical components. As the system takes shape, a key milestone in this phase Agfar "power-up", activating the machine.

5.

Start-up - breathe “life” into it

During this key phase, designers, software engineers, and start-up specialists collaborate closely. After initial setup and movement tests, each station and system component is activated, adjusted, programmed, and optimized until both individual elements and the entire machine perform as expected. Agfar operates in a controlled environment with cleanliness, air conditioning, and a quiet workspace to ensure precision and quality.

6.

Delivery and installation

Special moments unfold your machine at Agfar, customer acceptance, and operator training. Once approved, it’s prepared for shipment. Upon arrival, our specialists start it up on-site, and production begins!

Examples

Rotary transfer machines

Rotary transfer machines

Classic rotary transfer machines: They allow several work steps to run in parallel and are hard to beat in terms of productivity for watches, medical and electronic components.

Linear machines

Linear machines

Linear machine concepts are ideal for sensitive processes. As only one tool is used for each process, which does not rotate on a rotary table, highly complex designs with various monitoring systems and movements can be realized. Another advantage is the convenient accessibility to the individual stations.

  • Joining, pressing, riveting, flanging, welding
  • For watches, medical and electronic components, etc.
  • Optionally integrated: Image processing, quality control
Laser integrations

Laser integrations

Processing and welding with light is a fascinating matter: one of our core competencies!

  • Laser welding systems
  • Laser cutting systems
  • Combined laser welding and cutting systems
